Orixas are the spiritual deities of the Candomble religion from Bahia in North-eastern Brazil that have come to fascinate me and I have tried to blend those ideas and concepts into a contemporary setting in this work which I feel is now at a begining.

Sometimes the hardest thing of all is to find your way to the start. A point of departure where you can be more specific about where you are going and more importantly, have an idea of the route map to get there. This is where I now find myself and at last there is some sense to the multitude of photographs that I take. I really hope to be able to consolidate the ideas over the next year with JH and Margot.
